Kembara: Skytrex Adventure Shah Alam

October 01, 2016

Assalamualaikum wbt and hello everyone! It's me again and I'm going to share about our second trip at Skytrex Adventure Shah Alam to get a chance for experience something that is extremely pumping our adrenaline and walking on the walkways among the tress.

Skytrex Adventure is located at Taman Pertanian Malaysia in Shah Alam and situated next to the Shah Alam city center. To be honest, I've never heard of Skytrex Adventure before and this is my first time to be there. For sure, my excitement always high!

Arrived around 12.30 pm then we need to sign the indemnity form for agreement that they have taken every safety precautions and they would not responsible for anything bad that might happen while doing the challenges. Basically, there are 3 challenges which are Little Adventure for beginners, Big Thrill and Extreme Challenge which differs in length and difficulty. So, we took  the extreme challenge that takes for 2 hours to complete with a total of 21 extreme challenges that are done 21m above the ground! Some of the challenges that i remembered are little swinging bridge from one plank to the next, walking along the net, wooden planks and most of them are flying fox!

Half-body harness will be supplied for the activities and any bag is not allowed during the activities. So we need to store them and anything valuable along in the locker provided but there's a fee with refundable deposit. Besides that, wear a gloves is highly recommended so we had to purchase them at the counter since we didn't bring any gloves. It's going to be really hot and humid on the trees and we are gonna sweat profusely. Some of my friends brought along at least a bottle of water where they bought at the counter to keep them cool and hydrated.

Next, we have to attend the all important introduction and safety briefing by the instructor. He gave a guide about how to use the harness, carabiners and pulley. Fully attention was needed because those are really important.

After a trial climb and a short flying down a low tree, we began with the real adventure. However, we kind had a stuck at the platform waiting for the group in front of us to get through.

The view from top of is quite breathtaking and lovely but a peek down the trees could be terrifying. However since my adrenaline is pumping most of the time, i didn't get much chance to enjoy the scenery even taking pictures because i'm scared if i accidentally dropped my phone. That's why there are only a few photos (sob).

I must say flying fox is everybody's favorite part since it's the easiest. Gliding from one tree to another sure was fun and some of them were over 100 meters long. Honestly, after completing a few obstacles, I thought I was going to die because I've never done these before. However, it gets more fun after each and every one because you've gotten the hang of it. One thing though, there should be no thoughts on quitting because it only makes the journey more difficult to go on.

Everything went well as planned and the weather was so lovely. I can't even describe how amazing it was. Doing the activities at Skytrex does require some stamina and bravery to do the challenges. If you haven't been working out at all, you will find Skytrex Adventure really hard and challenging. I really enjoyed the whole thing.

"Skytrex Adventure is open everyday for the public and you are advised to book online in advance because there's no guarantee of slot availability for walk in customers. I would really recommend this Skytrex Adventure to everyone especially those with a flair for adventures adrenaline junkies. You must really try it at least once in your lifetime."

Bye and see you in my next post.
